Long time back a King did something which no one expected. He asked his men to put a big stone on a roadway such that it will bother everyone crossing that road. The King himself hid in the bushes and starting watching everyone who crosses this road.
The first one to cross the road was a rich spice merchant. He saw the big stone but passed from the side of the road. While crossing he shouted in anger, "Don't believe such people, who have put this stone on the road. Even the King can't clear the roads. He is no good." The King watched the whole scene.
The second one to cross the road was a minister of the King's palace. He saw the stone. He came out of his carriage. The King thought he is about to do something. But the minister just went close to the stone and went back. The King still waited in the bushes.
After 10 minutes, a poor peasant came along carrying vegetables. Once he reached the stone, he put down his burden and tried to push the stone away. It was not easy but after a lot of effort, he finally managed to push the stone out of the road. Much to his surprise below the stone, there was a small bag full of gold coins and a note from the King.
The note stated -
"You have done great work in removing this stone from the road. This proves how hardworking you are. These gold coins are for you, for your hard work and sincerity."
