It was the time when Rama was a small kid and his mother Kausalya also the wife of King Dasharatha was feeding him at night. It was a beautiful full moon night.
Kausalya showed Rama the full moon in the sky while feeding. Seeing this beautiful moon Rama was fascinated and started saying, "Give me that".
Kausalya thought Rama was asking for more food so she tried to give him more. Rama innocently and cutely pushed her away, repeating his demand."No! Give me that", pointing towards the moon in the sky.
Kausalya laughed and hugged him. However, Rama was adamant and still demanded that he needs the moon. He started crying loudly. King Dasharatha and two of his other queens also came running towards Rama to pacify him. They tried their best but today Rama didn't want to listen to anyone. He just wanted the moon.
Kaikeyi got an idea. She ran to her room and got a small mirror. She handed it over to Rama showing the reflection of the moon in it. Finally, Rama jumped in joy,"I got the moon, I got the moon".
Rama was very happy and finally, he played with a moon in his hand. Seeing him happy all the people including Kausalya was relieved.
