Sonu and Monu Monkey | Kid's Bedtime Story

This is a kid's short story about two monkeys Sonu and Monu where one was very wise and the other one not so much.

There was a small forest where two monkeys named Sonu and Monu used to live. Every day both would go to a nearby village to find food. Sonu was wiser and would act accordingly but Monu would do anything without thinking.

One day both of them reached a small village to find food. Beautiful big trees were planted near the pond of the village, and very delicious looking fruits were hanging on those trees. On seeing him, Monu's mouth became watery.

Monu said to Sonu, "Let's eat these fruits, how big and beautiful they are. Sonu was sensible, he looked here and there and said to Monu, "Monu brother! I think this fruit is not worth eating."

Monu said, "Oh, you are getting such beautiful fruits and you are saying that they are not fit to eat."

Sonu said to Monu while explaining, "Just think, these big trees are located near the village, it has so many beautiful fruits, yet no person in the village has broken them, after all? Surely these fruits will be poisonous only. Nobody ate it. We shouldn't eat these. "

Monu said with a laugh, "What are you talking about, Sonu brother. If you don't want to eat this fruit, don't eat it, I'm going to eat them." Saying this, Monu started eating fruit.

Sonu Monkey left from there and started searching for food elsewhere. When Sonu Monkey returned to Monu Monkey in the evening, he saw that Monu Monkey is moaning as his stomach was in a lot of pain. The fruits he ate were poisonous and Monu Monkey became ill due to that reason.

Handing Monu, Sonu said, "You remember I told you to not these poisonous fruits but you didn't agree on this and still ate."

Monu remained ill for a long time and his stomach ached for a long time. Monu regrets her mistake. He understood that if he had not lured, he would not have had this condition. He took a vow on the same day that after today he will act wisely and will not do anything under greed.

Moral -
