How Peter Saved The Forest | Panchatantra

There was a lion named Alex which was very cruel and greedy. One day he started roaming in the forest and started hurting every animal who was coming on his way. Seeing this, all the animals assembled and decided to offer one animal from each species voluntarily every day to Alex. This way they will be saved for some time and Alex will not hurt everyone on his way.

    Soon it was the turn of Rabbits. The Rabbits chose an old Rabit named Peter to go to Alex. Peter was old and very wise. He intentionally took a lot of time to go to Alex and finally reached him after 3 hours.
    Alex waiting impatiently saw Peter coming. He shouted,"Why you are late? I am feeling hungry."
Peter told that we were many rabbits who were coming to you today. But another angry lion attacked us and ate all of my friends. I was lucky to escape and reached here safely. He even told that the other Lion was saying that he is the King of Jungle, not you.
    Hearing this Alex became too much Angry and asked Peter to take him to the other lion's location. Peter agreed and took Alex towards a deep well filled with Water. He told Alex,"If you look inside the well, you will see him."
    Alex did exactly the same. He growled angrily looking inside the well. Because of his reflection, he saw that there is another lion which is also very angry with him. Alex without thinking jumped into the water trying to attack another lion. Alex felt into the water and got stuck there. All animals were saved and thanked Peter for his idea and help.

Moral :-
