The King of the jungle, Lion is now old. He was not so quick and sharp as he was in his young age. One time he was wandering in the jungle and he didn't have any food for two days. He was extremely hungry. While wandering he saw a cave and he went inside.
The King thought that he will hide inside the cave and as soon as the cave owner will come, he will eat him.
After a few hours the fox, who was known for her brains, came outside the cave. The cave belonged to her. As she was about to enter, he saw footprints of a lion entering the cave. But there were no footprints coming out of it.
She quickly understood the situation and shouted, “Hello cave! I’m back. Won’t you greet me?” On receiving no response, she shouted once more, “Dear cave, Are you upset with me? If you don’t speak up, I won’t come inside.”
Listening to all this the lion thought that this cave must be a talking one and wasn’t replying due to the fear of the lion.
So, the lion himself shouted, “Oh my lovely Fox. You can come in. It is your own home.”
The fox was smart and she realized that there is Lion inside. She laughed and never went inside. The King of the Lion couldn't get fox as his food for that day. Lion realized that it was very stupid of him to think that Cave will talk.
